Dollz Who Luv Us

New Collection

Found a new collection in the Starplaza, it's called Tribute to Louise Bourgeois. It's kind of interesting, good for Halloween coming up :p

I didn't know much about here, but here's what I found from a little Google searching.

She was a French-born American artist, who created art out of all manner of materials, including wood, steel, and stone. Her art mainly centred around birth, death, and sexuality. She died recently, on 31 May, 2010. In 2009, she was inducted into the US National Women's Hall of Fame.

For more information, here is an article from the CBC.

I actually think it's great that Stardoll has included her in a collection. From what I've read, she sounds like an amazing person, and she was inducted into the Women's Hall of Fame in the States, so it's quite the accomplishment. They've obviously steered away from the more sexual of themes, since a lot of children play on the site, but it's a cool collection nontheless. The only thing I have a problem with is the price- all Superstar, and all waaaaaay overpriced.

What do you think? Will you buy anything from the collection? And do you think it's alright for Stardoll to slap an artist's name on a new collection and charge exorbitent amounts? Have your say in the comments section below!!!
xoxo, Colleen ♥

Personally i wouldn't touch any of those "art works" with a long stick. They look like they can jump, run and attack me! :O
